Interpersonal Communication: Social Skills for Success
Available on demand March 19, 2019
An ability to interact with others in an appropriate way is essential for success. Yet a growing reliance on digital communication in the modern workplace has made emails the medium of choice for everyday interactions, and this has impacted upon the way that people naturally interact, slowly diminishing the chance to develop interpersonal skills. This session will help participants understand the importance of social skills and respectful communication by equipping participants with the knowledge to consider the way they interact with others, with a particular focus on proxemics and personal space. This session will explore verbal and nonverbal communication and help participants understand how their behavior may be interpreted by others, helping to grow positive and effective working relationships.
